EXCLUSIVE : Ex. International reveals two things lacking in Super Eagles

Former Nigerian international, Ishaya Jatau has revealed two things lacking in the Super Eagles, reports www.totorinews.com exclusively.

According to him, Super Eagles must play with strong zeal and die – hard mentality in order to become fearful again against African oppositions.

Jatau, former Super Eagles striker, said that it was very disheartened to see Super Eagles lost 1-0 at home to a lowly rated Wild Dogs of Guinea-Bissau last Friday, but very glad that the team bounced back to defeat the same team with same scoreline on Monday evening in Bissau.

He, however admonished Super Eagles players to exhibit strong zeal of patriotism and determination while wearing the colours of Nigeria.

“I think the way forward for the Super Eagles is for the players themselves to play with strong zeal of patriotism on the field. The players have to defend the honour of wearing the Nigerian jersey,” Jatau told www.totorinews.com exclusively.

“Nigerians are relieved after Super Eagles won today, but what happened on Friday was very disastrous. Super Eagles players must resolve that this will never repeat itself again.

“This can be averted if they play with strong zeal and  die – hard mentality henceforth. We need total commitment as NFF President, Ibrahim Gusau said. These two things are lacking,” he said.

Super Eagles will play Leone Stars of Sierre – Leone in the next AFCON qualifying game in June at away.
