Eric Chelle is a sound coach, says Ogbu

Slavia Prague defender, Igoh Ogbu says Eric Chelle is a very sound coach, reports www.totorinews.com.

Despite not featuring for Nigeria in his maiden Super Eagles call-up for the world cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe, the rugged defender, who is a super- regular in his club, said that he has learnt new things under Chelle during the few days of training sessions with the team.

“Eric Chelle is a very coach. Sound tactician and i have learnt some new things in the camp of the Super Eagles under him,” Ogbu told www.totorinews.com in Uyo after the game with Zimbabwe which ended 1-1.

“It was not the result we wanted, but you cannot doubt the commitment of the team to give Nigerians the win we all wanted. It is sad, but that is football and i believe that better result will come our way next time.

Speaking further, he said all hope is not lost yet on qualification of the Super Eagles to the world cup and as he goes back to his club, he will continue to work and be improving his game.

“I don’t think all hope is lost. Nigeria can still qualify. We have four games left to play. Nobody has power over tomorrow,  fortunes can still smile on Nigeria.

“As i go back to my club, i hope to continue to work hard, even harder and keep improving. You have to keep learning and improving as a player,” he said.
