ECN Foundation Empowers Fifty Widows in Lagos Outreach

On the 2nd of August 2025, ECN Foundation, a subsidiary of ECN Global Ventures Limited, hosted an impactful outreach program at AP College in Ejigbo Local Government, Lagos State.

The well-organized event brought together fifty widows who benefited from the foundation’s generous support.

The program, chaired by Honorable Grace Nwankwo Okere, saw participation from ECN Foundation members across various states, including Abuja, Ibadan, Osun, and Lagos, highlighting the organization’s widespread commitment to community service.

Beneficiaries received free medical checkups, essential food items, cash tokens, and vouchers for complimentary prescription eyeglasses.

Health professionals also provided valuable advice, emphasizing the importance of regular medical checkups to promote well-being.

The widows expressed heartfelt gratitude for the foundation’s efforts, praising its dedication to uplifting lives and restoring hope in underserved communities.

Speaking at the occasion, the Vice President of the ECN Foundation Mrs Uchechi Ngwaogu traced the history of the foundation and said
“The EMMANUEL CHINENYEAKA NGWAOGU FOUNDATION [ECN FOUNDATION]was not born out of abundance.

It was born from the ashes of real-life experiences of lack, struggle, and silent prayers.
The Ngwaogu family, who founded this initiative, have walked through the valley of endeavour. They have known what it feels like to have little. They have felt the weight of worry, the sting of not knowing where help would come from.

They have been in that place where money was tight, hope was dim, and help was far away. They have experienced life when basic needs were a luxury.

The NGWAOGU’S pray those quiet prayers, the ones that come with tears late at night and silent groans in the heart.

But through it all, God showed up. Little by little, doors began to open. With grace, hard work, and persistence, the family began to rise.

They were able to start businesses, find stability, and move from a place of surviving to thriving.

Yet even in their new season of comfort, they never forgot where they came from. They never forgot what it felt like to be in need. And they made a vow, “If God blesses us, we will become a blessing to others”.
That is the heartbeat behind ECN FOUNDATION.

ECN Foundation is not just an NGO, it is A PROMISE. A promise to give back to the community and society with love. A promise to lift others, because they have once needed lifting. A promise to be the answer to the kind of prayers they used to pray. And by God’s grace, that promise has already touched many lives.

The ECN Foundation has carried out several outreach projects quietly, consistently, and from the heart.for over 4 years.

• We have visited hospitals to pay off bills for patients who are unfit to, offering care, support, and hope to the sick and their families.

• We have gone to schools for the disabled, offered scholarships, sharing joy, resources, and reminding children with special needs that they are seen and valued.

• We have taken our mission to the streets, reaching out to the homeless, the forgotten, the ignored, offering them food, clothes, encouragement, and dignity.

ECN Foundation is growing. Today, by God’s grace, the foundation has branches in Osun State, Oyo State, Abuja, and now, Lagos, not leaving out ECN Support in Toronto, Canada.

We are touching more lives and expanding the reach of compassion across Nigeria and abroad..
And today, we are here again this time for our strong, resilient widows. Women who have carried heavy burdens, often in silence.

Women who have raised children alone, survived heartbreak, and kept going against all odds.

This outreach is for you.
To let you know you are not alone.
To remind you that you are still loved.

And to support you not just with words, but with action.
So as we begin today’s program, remember this:

You are not just receiving, you are deeply honored.
Because this entire foundation exists because of stories like yours.
Stories of pain that turned into purpose.

Stories of survival that became a reason to serve.
On behalf of the Ngwaogu family and the entire ECN Foundation team in Nigeria nad Canada,
We welcome you with open arms.
We love you.

We are here for you.
And this is just the beginning.
