I want to win African Footballer of the Year Award – Samuel Chukwueze

Having demonstrated great football artistry to be enjoying the rave of the moment status in the La Liga with Villarreal Cf , Samuel Chukwueze says he is aiming to become the African Footballer of the Year in the next few years, reports totorinews.com.

Chukwueze, who was voted in the team of the month (November) in the LA Liga amidst the arrays of football stars in the league considered as the best in the world, said that he will continue to work hard to improve his game, as he believed that with constant improvement in his game, he can go ahead to win CAF Footballer of the Year Award.

“I am happy with my football at Villarreal. The LA Liga is a very difficult league and I am playing to be playing among the best. It makes you to work hard and to improve your game, but my personal ambition is to win African Footballer of the Year.” Chukwueze said.

The 19 year old winger made his debut for the Super Eagles against Uganda in a goalless international friendly game played last month at Asaba and he said that it was a dream come true for him and he hopes to become an intergral member of the team.

“To play for the Super Eagles is a dream come true , but the main dream, is to become a regular player in the team and help Nigeria to win many games in the future,” he said.
