Cradle of Nigeria Football, Nationwide League One (NLO) is about to change for the better after New Year Mega Lottery Limited announced N964m four – year sponsorship deal with the third- tier league in Nigeria, reports www.totorinews.com.
This was disclosed at the unveiling of NLO title sponsorship event by Miss Emmanuella Obiora, Director of Corporate Communications, New Year Mega Lottery, as she excitedly revealed over 400 clubs in the NLO will have a new leverage in the administration of football with the sponsorship deal.
“We are glad to announce sponsorship deal with NLO worth N964m for four years,” Miss Obiora said.
“We know the value of sports especially football and we want to touch the lives of the teeming youths at the grassroot allover Nigeria.
“And with NLO having over 500 clubs, ot is hoped that this sponsorship deal will be a fruitful union between New Year Mega Lottery and NLO,” she said.
Speaking also at the event, His Excellency, Hon. Silas Agara, the chairman of the NLO, said that the league body is very happy with the sponsorship deal with New Year Mega Lottery Limited.
“This is a welcome development for the NLO. I remember when the NLO board was inaugurated last year by the NFF led by Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau and we are glad that this sponsorship deal is a fulfilment of what we promised the leadership of NFF and Nigerians as a whole,” Hon. Agara said.
“We will continue to work harder in sincerity of purpose in order to attract more sponsors and partners to the NLO,” he said.
