Rivers United were asking the questions, dictating the pace of the game and their efforts got rewarded with another goal in the 56th courtesy of Acquah to make it a brace.

However, the Congolese side  reduced the tally in the 78th minutes when Kingu Yallet scored to give Pembe hope of clawing their way back into the game.

The goal turned the game into very anxious moments and nervy atmosphere for the fans of Rivers United as Pembe searched for the equaliser.

But Acquah took the game beyond the reach of the visitors when he scored his hatrick within the three minutes added time to make it a terrific Thursday evening for Rivers United.
