Four others, according to Premium Times report, are critically injured.
According to the report, the tragic incident occurred around noon on Monday, January 6, 2025, which made the people in the community to be tensed.
The community is located approximately 42 kilometers from Abuja’s city centre.
Emergency response teams, including the police bomb disposal squad, promptly arrived at the scene, while the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent medical care.
A security source disclosed that the deceased student was reportedly carrying a substance suspected to be an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) when it detonated, both the security and police authorities were yet to comment on the incident.
