When a man has affected humanity positively in different forms, nature has a way of making him to be celebrated in diverse ways.
This is seen in the life of Chief Femi Otedola, who stepped up to diamond level on earth and a man who has never met him before has decided to celebrate his diamond jubilee in a special way.
Lokogoma area in Abuja was agog with the diamond jubilee celebration of Chief 0tedola when Nureni Makanjuola, a reputable Nigerian, the proprietor of Water FC of Abuja organised top class 60th birthday party for the business icon.
It was a gathering of youthful Nigerians, who came together to honour a man, whom many of them have never met in real life, but only heard, read and seen him via various news media platforms especially the social media, Instagram to be precise.
Speaking exclusively to www.totorinews.com in Abuja, Makanjuola said he has always been admiring Chief Otedola, his simplicity and sagacity in business and humanity, though, he has never met him before, he decided to honour and celebrate him at 60 years.
He said that clocking 60 years in this present day Nigeria and in this world of perilous times, calls for celebration and thanksgiving to God.
“I just want the people in my own world to honour and celebrate a man I so much value. I have not met Chief Femi Otedola before in my life,” Makanjuola told www.totorinews.com in Abuja.
“He is someone i cherish, honour a lot, a very adorable personality. I see him as a role model. I have been his strong admirer for about 20 years and I have never met him before. It is just natural love from afar.
“I promised and prayed that when Chief Otedola clocks 60 years by God’s grace, that I will celebrate him in my own very special way,” he said further.
So what is the special way was the question that followed next.
He replied : “What I know how to do very well is football, that’s my passion and I will be organising a football tournament to celebrate his diamond jubilee.
“Regarding the tournament, we have 36 teams coming from across the Federation and the FCT. The name of the tournament is Ote4Wealth football tournament.
“Ote4Weath football tournament will be used to give Nigerian young footballers avenue to showcase their talents to football fans in Abuja.
“Everything has been planned and mapped out for the tournament to kick start next Saturday, which is November 12th. It will take place at Water FC field in Lokogoma in Abuja.
“Meanwhile, we already bought five cows to celebrate his diamond jubilee birthday. We killed two cows on the eve of his birthday.
“I feel good to celebrate Chief Otedola and we intend to kill the remaining three cows to honour this worthy Nigerian. It is a day of merriment.
“All i have to say is God bless Chief Otedola, continue to bless him more and more, amen,” he concluded.
