It was the fifth goal for the 28-year-old, after joining Valencia on loan from Real Sociedad.
Umar’s 75th minute goal drew level for Valencia after the team conceeded via an own goal from César Tárrega that gave the home fans something to cheer.
The former Almeria forward started the game on the bench, as Carlos Corberán, coach of Valencia preferred an attacking duo of Hugo Duro and Diego López to lead the onslaught.

Umar stepped into action in the 66th minute when he replaced Portuguese midfielder André Almeida and he was very pivotal to Valencia from losing the game when he slotted into the net from a low cross, rendering Augusto Batalla in goal for Rayo Vallecano helpless.
Sadiq scored to salvage a point for Valencia in previous matches against Villarreal and Osasuna, while netting the game-winning goal in a 2-1 win versus Real Valladolid CF.
He has been enjoying good goals scoring form for Valencia which have rescued the team from the jaws of defeat. He was on the scoring sheet against Villareal Osasuna and his goal condemned Real Valladolid CF to 2-1 defeat.

It is very obvious that the Nigerian striker has found his groove again since he joined Valencia on six – month loan deal in January.
