My girlfriend dumped me after I moved to Europe – Ex. Super Eagles attacker reveals

In a different twist to lamentations from most Nigerian ladies of being dumped by their boyfriends after the guys moved abroad for greener pastures, the reverse is the case for former FC Taraba dependable striker and Super Eagles attacker, Saviour Fidelis.

Fidelis, who moved to Europe five years ago, lamented the ordeal he went through at his early stage in Malta, where he signed for Mosta FC in the Maltese league, as his heartthrob and mother of his son did not believe that he could stay faithful to her while in abroad, so she dumped him.

Unknown to her, Fidelis was already having a spiritual reawakening in the things of God, his life was getting more focused on the things of God, as he dedicated himself to making a good career for himself in Malta, with studying the bible, praying and occasionally going on fasting for some days.

Painfully, his heartbeat of love in Nigeria still looked at him with the eyes of a man that could not live without sex for a certain period, of which he also collaborated that when he was in Nigeria that he could not  stay without sex for three weeks.

Fidelis, then used the occasion of his birthday to narrate his experience and God’s mercies located him despite his terrible past.

“My life is full of the grace of God, I should not be doing this but I feel it is good because my story can boost someone’s faith and encourage someone not to give up on life no matter what,” Fidelis told totorinews exclusively.

“At the same time I want to use this day of my birthday to clear the air for some people who think bad of football players, especially when it comes to their relationship with the opposite sex.

“In 2013, i met this beautiful young lady on Facebook, though I was in a relationship, a serious one at that matter. 

“She was too young 16 years old ,for me it was just fun having friends on Facebook, couple with the fact that she was far away in another continent just like every other female friend I was having on my contact.

“Moreover my relationship with my girl was so strong so I care less on whomever was my friend on social media.

“She was in high school we only communicated when she have assignment in English. She would  send to me and I will worked it out and sent it back to her.

She was always happy because she always scores higher marks. I was cool with it as someone helping a young friend in a far continent.

“My relationship in Nigeria was very good with a baby boy (Trinity). We were not yet married, but we were planning to be married as a couple.

“I used to be crazy for about women everywhere we go for games we always want to have fun with new women, that was my past though.

“But I tell you sometimes your past can come hitting you or make people judge you from your past even when you are a changed person, a repented Christian.

“But to some of us who are like David from the Bible when you think our past will come hitting us it brings us more happiness after a little suffering.

“Even though I was crazy whenever am home from club I never joked with my woman I take her everywhere with me.

“Sometimes my foreign friends when they are back for holidays they never want to go out with me because I will always carry my woman with me. They preferred we went out with new girls but I never supported that. 

“I am saying these for a reason. While other players resume with their cars, I preferred to leave mine for my woman back home. That was my life.

“I would not leave her for anyone even though we were not married.

“Then in 2015, i traveled for a greener pastures. I remembered that night we prayed together like we always do she was my praying partner.

“I trusted her more than my family because she she could do anything to see me happy. Though we have our own differences like every couple do but we were great together.

“I traveled to Tunisia from Tunisia to Malta. I have never stayed 3 weeks without sex and she knew it. But this time I said to myself, Saviour you have to be wise, stay without sex until you go back for holidays.

“I was ready do that not just ready but I was committed to it. I was a changed person.

“But you see what your past can do to you. My woman never believed in me when it comes to sex and so even though i changed she never believed and that caused us our relationship to have big problem.

“She had a Diploma in Mass Communication since I was away, i did not  want her to be idle so I said to her go back to school and get your HND until I fix for you to come over with my boy. 

“Even though i was already mounting  pressure on my club to facilitate bringing then to join me in Malta.

“My club asked for a marriage certificate since we were not legally married, i sent money for them to make a marriage certificate, which they did.

“I sent them money for their upkeep, N118,000 whenever I receive salary.

“But the unexpected happened to me.The woman I loved left me for another telling me I should swear if I have not slept with any other  woman since I traveled to Europe.

“I was away for 11 months and for the first time in my life, i kept clean on sexual sins, but because of my past,  i was never trusted and it caused me my relationship i cherished so much.

“If you are reading this I pray your past will never create negative effects on  your future.

“She said to me and I quote “I no be firewood, i have body I can’t stay like this knowing fully well that you are having fun” It was heartbreaking.

“Whenever I called she says she is tired from school, she has to sleep, she has lectures tomorrow. Then at one time she just said is over between us I begged to no avail.

“I even said to her for the sake of our boy but she made up her mind and I had to let her go. Her decision affected my career.

“Because when I got to Malta, i was new but the most feared player in Maltese league.

“I scored in every game i played. I was topping the scorers chat but after that broke up with my girlfriend, the mother of my son, i lost concentration. I could not score in eight games and my club decided to loan me out.

How I met my wife

“Then I remembered my present wife today and I wrote her that am in Malta. Malta is not far from Italy and we kept chatting on daily basis.

“Then one day I invited her to Malta and she flew to see me. She traveled back and after some months I went over and we got married.

“She brought so much joy to my life with two great boys and we are already expecting our little princess (Lucy) named her after my late mother.

“I am saying all these because many friends of my former girlfriend that did not have any idea of what happened were busy saying footballers when they don’t have nothing they stay with you, but the  moment they become successful they leave you.

“But that’s not the truth. Every story has two sides you have to hear from both before you go into conclusion.

“I hope this story can help someone not to repeat our own mistakes in life 

“And to my former girlfriend i hold no grudges against her. She is forever in my my mind because she is the mother of my son.

“And to my wife – Jenny Karina Paez Alvarez,  i love you with every fibre in me. Your spirit actually drew me to Europe.

“After 4 years of been friends on facebook from two different continents we connect and today we are happily married thank you so much for giving me my life back.
