Super Eagles has warmed themselves into the hearts of football loving Cameroonians to the extent that an average football fan in Garoua considers the team a top favorite to lift the AFCON trophy, reports www.totorinews.com exclusively.
This was the candid expression of a Cameroonian footballer, Suleiman Dori, who played five seasons with El- Kanemi warriors of Maiduguri in the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL, as he noted that Nigeria is the most impressive team so far in the tournament.
“After two games, I can say that Nigeria is the most impressive. The team look very strong to win the AFCON tournament,” Suleymanoe Dori told www.totorinews.com in Garoua.
“That is my honest opinion as a footballer. Another team that has also done well is my beloved Indomitable Lions of Cameroon. As a Cameroonian, I want us to win the AFCON, but football is not played like that.
“The field will decide every outcome of my desire. Football in Africa is becoming very difficult to predict. Nobody expected Equatorial Guinea to beat Algeria yesterday, but that’s football,” he said.
