Coaching clinic : Nigeria Football will develop strong philosophy, Says Eguavoen

As the NLO/Berackiah coaching clinic continues to impact Nigerian coaches responsible for nurturing the football talents at the cradle of their development, Austin Egwavoen says he expects Nigeria football to develop strong philosophy.

In a chat with Totorinews.com, the former Super Eagles coach, who is presently the technical director of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, informed that there is a need for strong philosophy to evolve right from the grassroot to the national team.

“We have to now travel with our philosophy, which means from the grassroots up to the national team, so that we play the same style,” Egwavoen said.

“Interaction between the coaches and the technical department is very key” in order to achieve the proposed trend,” he added.

“Countries across the world have always designed football philosophy and ideology on which all their developmental programmes will be anchored.”

Over 60 coaches of various clubs from South South are currently undergoing a- five day coaching clinic powered by Berackiah/Abigol in conjunction with the Nationwide League One, NLO and the clinic will end on Friday.
