Football lovers all over the world are apprehensive over the safety of Christian Atsu after devastating earthquake hit Turkey on Monday morning, reports www.totorinews.com.
Multiple Turkish media outlets report that Black Stars midfielder Christian Atsu, who plays for Hatayspor, is among thousands of people left under the rubble of Monday morning’s devastating earthquake in that country.
It was further gathered that two players of the club were pulled from the wreckage but Atsu is currently unaccounted for — together with club director Taner Savut.
Atsu scored the lone goal for Hatayspor against Kasimpasa to ensure the maximum points for his club in the Turkey Super League game played on Sunday.
“Important win for the team. Happy to be on the scoresheet,” Christian Atsu posted on his official Facebook page on Sunday night.
Prayers are up there for the Black Stars winger to be rescued alive.
