Former Plateau United and Akwa United coach, Kennedy Boboye may just be on the verge of joining NPFL record winners Enyimba FC of ABA.
The former NPFL winner was spotted at the VVIP section of the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba on Saturday, during Nasarawa United’s 2-1 Aiteo Cup round of 32 victory over Bendel Insurance. He was seated alongside the current manager of Enyimba FC Coach Finidi George, thereby fueling speculations that the duo may be sitting together in the dugout of the People’s Elephants next season.
It could be recalled that Kennedy Boboye won the NPFL title in 2017 with Plateau United and repeated the same feat with Akwa United in 2021.
Enyimba FC finished the recently concluded 2022 NPFL season in a disappointing 7th position, their worst in 6 years and have gone three seasons without a major trophy.
