Team Nigeria continues to be medalless at the Paris Olympics after Blessing Oborududu and Favour Ofili failed to climb the podium at their events on Tuesday evening, www.totorinews.com reports.
Oborududu, a silver medalist at the Tokyo Olympics lost her bronze medal fight to twoz- time world champion, Nonoka Ozaki 0-3 in the women’s 68kg category.
Totori News gathered that Oborududu fought with injury to her kneel which impeded her performance.
Trending Ofili running from lane 9, gave her all in the final of women’s 200m, but she could only manage to finish far from the medal zone in the 6th position with a time of 22.24 secs.
The race was won by Gabrielle Thomas of United States in 21.83s. Newly crowned Olympics 100m women’s champion, Julien Alfred came second in 22.08s and Brittany Brown settled for the bronze medal with a time of 22.20s.
