Football stakeholders in Nigeria have been urged to support Ibrahim Musa Gusau, the newly elected NFF president to succeed, www.totorinews.com reports.

Former Super Eagles striker, Ben Akwuegbu disclosed this in an exclusive chat with www.totorinews.com on Sunday, as he said that Gusau is a very honest administrator, hardworking and trust worthy and he believes that his leadership of NFF will give every stakeholder a sense of belonging.

“Every football stakeholder in Nigeria should support Gusau, the new NFF president. He needs the support of everyone. Ex. Internationals, players union and even the media should project him positively,” Ben Akwuegbu said.

“What is at stake is the betterment of Nigeria football and that is what we should be praying and hoping for. He is not materialistic person. Success should be collective activities of everybody.

“Gusau asked Nigerians to pray for him to succeed. That’s the first thing to do as a leader. I want the two factions of the players unions to unite.

“We should also pardon Amaju Pinnick for whatever errors he might have committed while he was in charge of the NFF,” he said.
