Super Eagles devour 10 – man Mambas in 5- goal drama

Estadio Municipal de Portimão, in the Algarve, Portugal witnessed five goals thriller, as the Super Eagles came from a goal down to defeat Mambas of Mozambique 3-2 in an international friendly game on Monday evening.

The Mambas stung Super Eagles in the 6th due to error of judgement from Francis Uzoho, but Nigeria quickly recovered from the deficit to drew level in the 19th courtsey of Terrem Moffi.

Eagles were in control of the game and deservedly took the lead 11 minutes later through Frank Onyeka , as they continued to pile pressure on the vital area of Mozambique. 

The pressure yielded red card for Edmilson in the 38th minute.Super Eagles were awarded a penalty in the added time of the first half which was converted into goal by Moses Simon.
The 2013 AFCON Champions went into the break with 3- 1 advantage.

However, the second half became a different game entirely as 10 – man Mozambique did not exhibit the fact the team was one man down, rather they pulled one back to make it 3-2.

All the efforts made by the Eagles to score another goal proved abortive as the game ended 3-2.
