Stanley Nwabali Commits to Chippa United with New Contract and Captaincy

Chippa United has announced that Nigerian goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has signed a new three-year contract, solidifying his position as a key player for the South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) club www.totorinews.com confirmed.
Additionally, head coach Kwanele Kopo has named Nwabali as the team captain for the upcoming season.

Nwabali, 28, has been an integral part of Chippa United since joining from Katsina United in 2022. He has made 38 appearances, including 32 PSL matches, and kept 13 clean sheets. His impressive performances earned him a spot in the Super Eagles squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The club praised Nwabali’s dedication and leadership, stating, “We are incredibly proud of Stanley’s commitment to the club. His leadership on and off the field has been exemplary, and we believe he is the right person to guide our team through the challenges ahead.”

Nwabali will lead Chippa United in their season opener against Orlando Pirates on September 14 at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto. With his new contract and captaincy, he is poised to play a crucial role in the team’s success in the upcoming season.
