Balogun : Shooting Stars does not belong to NNL

Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan does not belong to the Nigeria National League is the candid opinion of Rasheed Balogun, the General Manager of the club, reports www.totorinews.com

With the club topping the Nigeria National League Group B 1 with 41 points after 18 games, Balogun said that it is not the least expected of the club.

He said the great form of the club this season should not come as a surprise to millions football loving Nigerians and fans of the club, as he noted that the club is fully prepared to come back to the elite league in Nigeria.

“It is not the least expected because we all know that NNL is not where Shooting Stars Sports Club belongs and this is not first time the club have shown this type of seriousness to gain promotion to Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL),” Balogun told www.totorinews.com in Abuja.

“If you remember that before the COVID-19 pandemic, the club was in the top position before the league was cancelled last year,” he added.

“So far so good, I give thanks to God for putting us in the right position and we are looking forward and working very hard to remain in that position till the league comes to an end.

“And also forge ahead in the Super 8 promotion playoff to win the promotion ticket to NPFL,” he said.
