It is becoming obvious that Tolu Akorodare is one of the hottest Nigerian strikers in Europe after scoring his sixth goal for KRC Genk in the 4 -0 demolition of Dender over the weekend, reports www.totorinews.com.
The joint leading goal scorer in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League with six goals from eight matches is becoming a menace to defenders and nightmare to goalkeepers in the league this season, where his club is currently on top with 19 points.
The 2017 Golden Eaglets striker has continued to develop his game in Europe after playing plying his trade with four clubs, scoring for 56 goals in 156 league games so far.
He did not settle down easily in Belgium in his first season where he managed to score two goals from 11 games, but he gave the fans of Genk so many cheering moments last season, hitting the back of the net 12 times in 40 league games.
Speaking on his goals scoring form this season, Arokodare shared his thoughts with HBVL, as reported by Voetbal Primeur:
“It shows that I do certain things well. Hopefully, I can score even more. It is an individual goal, but the most important thing is that I help the team. By scoring goals, or by doing other things that benefit the team.”
At 23, Akorodare is gradually knocking on the door of the Super Eagles, as Nigeria navigates the roads to 2025 AFCON in Morocco and 2026 World Cup in Canada, United States and Mexico, if he continues with his great scoring form in Europe.
