Team Nasarawa state continues to improve on the medals table of the Delta 2022 national sports festival in Asaba after Ruth Asuquo won a silver medal in weightlifting, reports www.totorinews.com.
Asuquo gave spectators, especially Nasarawa contigient something to cheer when she came second in the 49kg of women’s weightlifting snatch event.
She snatched 84kg, just one kilo behind her Delta State counterpart who won Gold Medal.
With this development, Team Nasarawa now have two silver medals and three bronze medals and modestly occupying the 20th position.
