NSF: Ondo battles Plateau in Volleyball final

Highly rated Team Ondo will face Team Plateau state in the final of the male volleyball event at the ongoing National Sports Festival in Abuja.

In the match played at the outdoor volleyball court reports that Plateau defeated Anambra after taking charge of the game mostly by winning 25-19 25-22 23-25 23-25 and 15-9, while Team Ondo breezed past Team Rivers (25-23, 25-27, 25-20, 25-23) in the second game.

Rivers will face Anambra to determine the third position on Friday and will meet for the second time at the festival.

Meanwhile, a motivated Team Delta will meet Team Lagos in the female final.

Team Lagos defeated a stubborn Team Kaduna 3-2 (22-25, 25-17, 22-25, 25-20, 18-160 in front of the mammoth crowd at the outdoor court, while Team Delta muscled Team Enugu 3-0 (25-17, 25-13, 25-14).

The head coach of Plateau volleyball team, John Phillip said he has confident of winning gold medal in the men’s category of volleyball.

The Coach of Plateau said his team is ready to secure gold medal for the state.
