Shooting Stars gaffer, Gbenga Ogunbote has refused to put his side under any pressure after he disclosed to the media what their target is come to the end of the season, reports www.totorinews.com.
After scoring 88 goals in 41 games claiming 20 clean sheets along the line, Shooting Stars showed why they need to be taken serious in the 2023 edition of the NPFL.where they scored three goals against Plateau United in Jos.
Although Gbenga Ogunbote would had been glad to return to Ibadan with the full points, but a point at former champions is still a very good result as claimed by the experienced gaffer.
Speaking after the game in Jos, Ogunbote revealed that the league just started and his side could not secure the three points due to some careless moments that made them surrender their two goals lead.
When questioned further on his team’s target at the end of the season, the ex Enyimba, Giwa FC, Lobi Stars and Enugu Rangers said their target is to finish the season in an appreciable position.
Shooting Stars will return home to battle with neighbors Kwara United at the popular Lekan Salami Stadium Adamasigba in one of the MD2 fixtures of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
