NPFL : My desire is for my son to play abroad – Alao

The father of Mohammed Alao, Kwara United Football Club’s goal scorer against Bendel Insurance FC in the Matchday 13 of the ongoing Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), Mallam Dauda Alao Mohammed has said that his desire was to see his son play abroad in his lifetime.

Mohammed Ibrahim Alao, who joined Kwara United from Abubakar Bukola Saraki Ilorin Football Club, scored a second half free-kick that later ensured his team earn a point against the Group A league leaders on Saturday, at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin.

Speaking exclusively with the Media Team of Kwara United, Mallam Alao, who runs a Rental Service in Ilorin, expressed delight that his son is a footballer.

Mallam Alao said that he played football right from his primary school days and added that he played alongside former Kwara United handler, Coach Kadiri Ilhana.

“I like football, and I played the game right from my primary school days. I am happy my son is also playing the game. I played alongside Coach Kadirri Ikhana, then.

While speaking about Mohammed Alao, whom he normally comes to the Stadium to watch, especially during matches, Mallam Alao said that he sometimes encourages his son with techniques.

“I do come to the Stadium to watch his game, and sometimes encourage him on the I always want him to play, especially on his position as an attacking midfielder. He needs to work harder and attack more.

“His mother also likes football. I want my son to stay in the trade, make meaningful impact, and play in the big leagues abroad during my lifetime.

Mallam Alao commended the management of the team, the coaches, and the players for the support and encouragement being given to his son.
