Do not be surprised if Engr. Habu Gumel is re- elected the President of Nigeria Olympic Commitee (NOC) was the candid expression of a congress member of NOC, reports www.totorinews.com.
The stakeholder, who is one the federation presidents ahead of the NOC election on Thursday in Jalingo, Taraba State informed that Federation elections cannot be compared to the NOC elections, adding that the incumbent president Gumel has all it takes to retain his seat as the supremo of NOC.
“Despite the opposition, the media noise against Engr. Gumel, don’t be surprised if he wins the election. This election is different from sports federation elections,” the congress member of NOC said.
“Engr. Gumel is fully qualified to contest this election under the guidelines of the NOC and i can tell you for free that he is very formidable to win it.
“Some angry stakeholders are free to disagree with him and the other set of people who still believes in his leadership will vote for him and it is very likely that he will retain his position,” he said.
