NFF Election : Emeruwa Ready To Spend N64m

Dr. Christian Emeruwa, one of the NFF presidential candidates in the uncertain NFF elections says he is financially prepared to spend N64m regarding his quest to become the next NFF president, reports www.totorinews.com.

Emeruwa, who has demonstrated strong leadership as the head of safety and security department of CAF, revealed this while speaking as a guest of Sport Zone programme on Lagos Talk 93.1 FM on Thursday.

He admitted that the journey to Sunday Dankaro’s house is very expensive, adding that series of meetings with various stakeholders, travels and other logistics are needed to make it a reality.

“Trying to talk to the delegates may require you to travel to most of the states in the country,” Dr. Emeruwa said.

“Flight tickets are on the high side now. You need to get a comfortable venue to hold the meetings. Hotel accommodation is also required. It requires a lot of money to achieve these goals and convince them (delegates) that you are the right man for the job.

“You know I can’t speak for other candidates but I budgeted the sum of N64 million to campaign,” he revealed

When asked how he got such amount of money at his disposal to realise his ambition of heading the NFF, he replied that he was able to raise 50% from his personal savings, while he also enjoyed goodwill from friends and other stakeholders, who believed in the project.
