After being disqualified from hosting the FIFA U20 World Cup 2023, Indonesian football may face disciplinary action from FIFA, reports www.totorinews.com.
Problem number one is, a suspension could remove Indonesia from Asian qualifying for the 2026 World Cup, which starts in October.
The second problem is the fact that the economic losses would amount to “trillions of rupiah” after FIFA striped the country of hosting the FIFA U-20 World Cup.
The third problem is that Indonesia’s reputation has also taken a hit, which could seriously affect their race to host the 2034 World Cup and the 2036 Olympics.
