Immediate Repercussion For Ghanaian Attacker

Ghanaian attacker, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, who plies his trade with Leicester City in the England Championship rejected the national call from Ghana to play for the Black Stars at the AFCON that began on Saturday in Ivory Coast.

He wanted to focus on his club’s quest to secure promotion back to EPL during the period of AFCON tournament.

But guess what? Fatawu received a red card against Coventry on Saturday evening, leading to a suspension for two league games, meaning he will be back in action on February 10, 2024, against Watford.

AFCON started this Saturday, January 13 and it will end on February 11, 2024.

This is indeed an immediate repercussion for dumping his country for his club’s activities. The karma acted very fast to pay him back.

    What a shame!
