I’m driven by passion for football development – FCT FA Boss, Mohammed

Just two years in the saddle of football administration in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has seen Mouktar Mohammed making a positive change in the development of football in the capital city of Nigeria, reports www.totorinews.com exclusively.

From the improved infrastructure of football facilities in the FCT, to the continued development of the football manpower like the coaches as evident in the La- Liga coaching programme which a lot of FCT coaches benefited and to the various competitions in the FCT, all these had the midas touch of Mohammed, who is now popularly called  ‘Digital Chairman’ by his admirers.

As he clocked two years in the office last week, www.totorinews.com sought to know the driving force behind his giant strides of football development in the FCT,  which he exclusively revealed that it is simply driven by passion to see football developed.

“Passion of football drives me to see the game develop rapidly in the FCT. I’m driven by passion for football development and I love to watch grassroot football,” Mohammed told www.totorinews.com

Speaking further, he said that he had three areas of promises he is determined to fulfil when he won the mandate to lead football in the FCT and everything working out fine, his administration is working towards achieving these promises.

“We had three things we want to achieve, which are infrastructure, development of manpowe and to bring back the competitions of all age groups, cadre and gender and also bring international brands to partner.

“On Infrastructure, we worked on Area 3 pitch and it is in a much better situation, even though we still have challenges since we don’t own the pitch.

“There is a road now, parking lot, no bushes. It is a much better state unlike what was witnessed in the past.

“We have plans to put new atro turf if we get the permission from the FCT Sports Council,” he said.
