How Spiritual Dimension Helped Flying Eagles in Egypt

    It was a soothing relief for Nigerians when the Flying Eagles qualified for the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Indonesia, but unknown to many, there was spiritual dimension to the feat achieved by the team.

    It was exclusive gathered by www.totorinews.com that the players and officials of the team went spiritual after the team loss to Senegal in their first game at the AFCON U20 tournament in Egypt due to the pressure the loss generated from Nigerians back home.

    An official of the team, who wants to remain annoymous  said that spiritual dimension of fasting and prayer to seek divine intervention to scale through hurdles of their next opponents in the group.

    “It was not easy for the team. We were under intense pressure to win our next game after the loss to Senegal. 

    “We knew the team must win the remaining two games to qualify from the group into the quarter- final stage.

    “So, we embarked on fasting and prayers for God to help us. The win against Egypt, the host was divine. We needed that win and it came.

    “Mozambique fell 2-0 in our next game. We went on another fasting and prayer exercise when we wanted to play Uganda and God helped us again.

    “We are grateful to God that Flying Eagles qualified for the World Cup in Indonesia. We also thank Nigerians that also prayed for the team,” he said.
