Akomolafe disclosed this to www.totorinews.com after he watched Golden Eaglets dismantled his team 8-0 in a friendly game played at the NFF/FOFA goal project, MKO Abiola stadium in Abuja, revealing that Golden Eaglets were very impressive.
“To be honest with you, this Golden Eaglets team can beat any youth team in the world with what I have seen so far. The team play excellent football,” Akomolafe said.
“I really enjoyed myself watching the game. Although, my team was on the losing side. I commend Nduka Ugbade and his technical crew,” he added.
Prior to the friendly game, he was very optimistic of getting favourable result against the Golden Eaglets or possibly shock the team in Abuja, but with the scoreline ending 8-0 in the favour of of Eaglets, Akomolafe said that he was not disappointed with his team.
“I am not disappointed with this result because everybody wants to watch good football and play against a very good team. Sometimes you win and sometimes, you lose. That is football,” he said.
