Football can curb insecurity in Nigeria – Dandidi Babes FC Boss

The beautiful game of football can curb insecurity and tackle youth restiveness says Bashir Dandidi, the proprietor of Dandidi Babes Football Club of Gumel, Jigawa state.

Speaking exclusively to www.totorinews.com in Abuja, Dandidi said that his strong desire to see the youths meaningfully engaged in activities that will promote the general wellbeing of the society made him to establish the club.

Dandidi Babes FC is very prominent in Nationwide League One, NLO, which is the third tier of the Nigerian league.

“The essence of creating this club is to really promote general youth activities in the state because we observed we have young Nigerians that are talented with football,” Dandidi told www.totorinews.com

“The focus is how we can engage the youth actively with football and that was the reason the club was formed in the community.

“The youths now have something to do and this help tackle insecurity. When you have young Nigerians between the ages of 15-30 actively engaged in football will definitely help curb insecurity.

“And playing at this level of football is the foundation these young footballers need to develop their game and from there, play at the elite league in Nigeria, play abroad and possibly play for the national team of Nigeria,” he said.
