Flying Eagles striker reveals what happened against Burkina Faso

Adams Olubi

Still in the excitement of winning WAFU B U20 tournament with the Flying Eagles of Nigeria, Olubi Adams has revealed that the game against Burkina Faso was the toughest, www.totorinews.com reports exclusively.

Adams, who featured as an attacker for the Flying Eagles, played all the four games and admitted that the Burkinabes scared Eagles with their resilience in the second group game Nigeria played at Niamey, Niger Republic.

“I think the game against Burkina Faso was the toughest. We led and they equalised and at 2-2, they looked very strong to score again, so we were kind of scared,” Adams told www.totorinews.com in Abuja.

“We had another very hard game in the semi final against Ivory Coast, but Burkina Faso was the toughest.

“We played with the determination to get at least a draw against Burkina Faso and we were glad about that.

“The final against Benin Republic was also difficult. But we knew that we were in the final to win the trophy for Nigeria and we did that to the glory of God,” he said.
