Flying Eagles striker, Olusegun Otusanya has signed for FK Haugesund of Norway, reports www.totorinews.com.
Otusanya, a product of Stars Builders Academy is a natural goalscorer, very clinical in front of goals, equipped with strong aerial prowess as a striker, all these were clearly witnessed when he was with the Flying Eagles in preparation for AFCON U20 tournament in Egypt.
Unfortunately, he could not make the team of the Flying Eagles to Egypt due to the injury he picked up in camp, but his exploits were already known by Haugesund, it was therefore not a surprise that the Norwaygian club has signed him.
A statement by the Club’s Sporting Director, Eirik Opedal says “FK Haugesund is very happy to sign Segun Otusanya. He is a good boy with alot of talent. We are looking forward to exploring his talent and hopefully develop him to a successfull footballer”
Speaking to www.totorinews.com, Tunde Soneye, who is the manager of the latest acquisition of FK Haugesund, said that Otusanya will continue to develop his football at his new club.
“We are glad that Segun signed for FK Haugesund of Norway. We are very optimistic that the club will help to further develop his football and maximise his potentials,” Tunde Soneye said.
“We had a lot of offers for Segun due to his brilliant performance while in camp with the National U20 team”
“We had to carefully look through them and select what we feel is the best for the boy in terms of his development and career progression”
“Segun is a talented natural goal scorer who will some day lead the attack for the senior national team,” he said.
