Less than 24 hours to Ejike Ugboaja FC open trials in Abuja, the chairman of the club, Ejike Ugboaja says great future beckons for young talented Nigerian footballers that will be discovered at the four – day event , www.totorinews.com reports exclusively.

According to the former basketball star, he is very optimistic that the God – given talents of many Nigerian teenage footballers will no longer be wasted, noting that the path to success has been mapped out through the plans the club have on ground.

It is therefore necessary for these talented footballers coming for the open trials not to take the opportunity presented for granted, as this may be the  beginning of greater things in football for them.

“We want to use Ejike Ugboaja FC as a platform to discover and nurture young talented Nigerian footballers and if anyone can see through my mind, I believe that great future beckons for these young footballers,” Ejike Ugboaja told www.totorinews.com exclusively.

“We don’t want their talents to be wasted. Any player that is good and passes the screening will never have any cause to regret, if he imbibe discipline to all his conducts.

Speaking further, he revealed that the open trials is free for every player within the ages of 16 – 20 years. 

“The beauty of the open trials is that it is free. No player is being charged to pay any amount of money for the screening. Just come with all your playing kits and you are good to go.

“But we will be strict with the age categories we want. The players must be between  16 – 20 years,” he said.

The open trials begin on Thursday at the Water Fc training ground at Apo, Abuja and it will end on Sunday.
