The world of football transfer business is saturated with the good, the bad and the ugly scenarios.
Unfortunately, many of football academies in Nigeria have fallen victims to some dubious clubs and fraudulent football agents, reports totorinews.com.
Presently, former Super Eagles attacker, John Utaka, the owner of John Utaka Football Club (JUFC) is ready for a showdown with Balikesirspor FC of Turkey and Turkey football agent, Mehmet Naci Bilgeturk over the alleged shady transfer of Peter Ambrose to the club few years ago and JUFC has not been paid any money till date on the tranfer of the striker.

In an exclusive interview with www.totorinews.com, Utaka revealed that Ambrose was nurtured and developed by JUFC, and it was the club that took Ambrose to Europe on trials on few occassions, before he became successful in the fourth attempt.
He narrated that Ambrose was transfered to the U19 side of Balikesirspor FC for his continued development, no fee was paid, unless after future sale.
“Peter Ambrose is a player that John Utaka FC took to Europe. He had trials with some clubs in France and Turkey. Luckily, Balikesirspor FC of Turkey showed interested. The club offered to keep him at their U19 team and hope that he adapts well.” Utaka said.

“Money was not paid. The plan was for money to be paid in future sale of our player with agreement reached.
“Ambrose did very well with the U19 team of Balikesirspor FC. He scored 19 goals to become the highest goalscorer after joining the team mid- season and some European clubs showed strong interest.
“We insisted on being paid 30% of the transfer fee. We later came down to 20% but Balikesirspor FC ignored us. Ambrose already signed to work with a Turkey football agent, his name is Mehmet Naci Bilgeturk, a registered FIFA Intermidiary, who was involved in the transfer negotiations with Balikesirspor FC.

“Anyway to cut the long story short, Balikesirspor FC in conjunction with Mehmet Naci Bilgeturk transfered Ambrose to Ujpest FC of Hungary in 2022 without our consent or approval and money was not paid.
“No payment of transfer fee, training compensation, no solidarity payment, nothing was paid till date to the academy that invested on him back in Nigeria, who is now 22 years old.
“At JUFC, we are keenly interested in the development of our players. We are happy with Ambrose. He recently signed for Aberdeen FC of Scotland. Good for him, but JUFC deserves to have a profitting return on our investment,” Utaka concluded.
After hearing from John Utaka, www.totorinews.com forwarded a message to Ambrose, who replied that the whole drama is not good for his football, adding that he insisted that his club( JUFC) must be rewarded in his transfer.
“I’m very sad. Honestly, i feel so bad. My job is to play football. I was told to work hard, score goals very well with the U19 of Balikesirspor FC. I worked hard, then signed for Ujpest FC of Hungary and problems everywhere,” Peter Ambrose narrated his own side of the story.
“I was not told so many things about transfer business by Mehmet Naci Bilgeturk. I must admit that i don’t like the fact that JUFC has not benefitted financially from their investment on my football,” he added
Ambrose demostrated the willingness to correct the wrong done to John Utaka FC. So, www.totorinews.com shifted the focus to Mehmet Naci Bilgeturk, a registered FIFA Intermidiary who represented Ambrose in the deal to get his own side in the drama.
The United States based agent replied that he was on a transit travelling to Washington DC and he will reply the message sent to him via his whatsapp number.
He eventually replied after some hours.

“You have to ask Utaka academy they made mistakes in that process.” Mehmet Naci Bilgeturk replied via Whatsapp.
“Let us know the mistakes John Utaka Academy made, Totori News replied, but Mehmet Naci Bilgeturk is yet to reply for more than 96hrs.
Utaka has vowed to seek justice, as he insisted that FIFA will have the final decision on the matter.
Meanwhile, Peter Ambrose has a bombshell to drop. Please watch out for part 2
