As the Golden Eaglets file out against the Baby Elephants of Ivory Coast at the Stade D Municipal in Lome, Togo, Manu Garba, former head coach of the team has charged the players to see the game as the final, reports www.totorinews.com
Manu, who won the FIFA U 17 world cup with the Golden Eaglets in United Arab Emirates in 2013 informed that the players must exhibit strong winning mentality and play with total concentration all through the 90 minutes to get the desired result.
“Every game should be seen as the final that is the way to approach the game against the Ivoriens. There should be no dull moments from the Nigerian players,” Manu Garba said.
“In a regional tournament like this, the players must have strong winning mentality and not let any antics of their opponents to distract from the task of getting a good result,” he said.
“I wish Coach Fatai Amoo, his assistants, the backroom staff and the players a very memorable tournament,” he said.
The game is scheduled to start at 4pm Togo time, which is 5pm Nigerian time.
