Many football loving Nigerians are impressed with players that will be paraded by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), at the forthcoming AFCON U17 tournament in Algeria, reports www.totorinews.com.

Golden Eaglets departed Abuja, Nigeria for Algeria on Sunday and right from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, many Nigerians who saw the players were really amazed by how young they looked.

Pictures of the players on the social media have continued to generate positive responses from passionate football fans.

While on transist at Cairo International airport, an Egyptian man, Tariq Sadiq on seeing the team was simply in awe when he was told that the team is the National U17 team of Nigeria.

“It is nice to see these players. Most of them are very young looking. This is good for Nigeria football,” Tariq Sadiq said.

He further revealed that he will forever remember Emmanuel Amuneke, former Super Eagles attacker when he played for Zamalek of Egypt. He made enquiries about the former Barcelona player.

“How is Emmanuel Amuneke? Amuneke, very good player, a very fast player. I enjoyed his football when he played for my team, Zamalek,” he added.

Golden Eaglets trained at the Nelson Mandela stadium in Algiers, Algeria on Monday evening. 

The team is expected to leave Algiers for Constantine after the mandatory MRI test on Tuesday, where Nigeria will tackle Zambia, Morocco and South Africa in Group B.
