Some notable football stakeholders in Imo state are smiling with text messages of credit alerts courtsey of Patrick Ikechukwu Osuji, the owner of Campos Fc of Owerri, reports www.totorinews.com.
Osuji decided to show love to these football stakeholders after the transfer money from the sale of Chrisantus Uche to Getafe of Spain landed the account of the club and the youthful club owner remembered the football institutions that helped the club at their formative years.
Imo State FA was rewarded with a sum of N2.5million to support her football activities, Imo state chapter of SWAN got N500,000, while amateur clubs in the state got N100,000 each.
Speaking exclusively to www.totorinews.com, Osuji said it was necessary for the club to show kindness to football stakeholders who stood by them when the wave looked dangerous to sink the club into oblivion.
“I thank God Almighty for his mercy. I want to appreciate those God used to help Campos Fc when things were very tough, some persons we ran to for help when we could not afford basic things,” Osuji said.
“Football business is not easy, but we will keep on pushing forward. We are glad that Christantus Uche, a product of the club is doing well in Europe. It was part of the money from his transfer to Spain that we used to extend love to Imo State FA board, SWAN, Imo State referees to mention, but a few.
“It is our prayer that Campus FC will keep on discovering and developing players that will turn professional footballers in Europe,” he said.
