Knowledge is never ending especially when you find yourself working as a football coach and that is the driving force behind Dankoli Ahmed Lawal, 1st assistant coach of the National U 17 team of Nigeria who just landed in Spain for advance coach course, reports totorinews.com exclusively.
Lawal, who is popularly known as Black Mourinho will be at the FC Leganes coaching centre for a 40 – day advance coaching course and he is expected to learn modern coaching techniques and all round knowledge of the game.
In an exclusive chat with www.totorinews.com from Spain, Lawal said that he wants to use the opportunity to learn more, noting that football is evolving everyday and any coach who refuses to go for a refreshal course will be outdated.
“I thank God for safety. I landed safely in Spain for an advance coaching course that will last for a month and 10 days. It is a great opportunity to learn, increase my knowledge in the technical aspect of the game.” Lawal told www.totorinews.com.
“You can never say you have arrived with the coaching knowledge you gained yesterday. Football is very dynamic, tactics and techniques keep changing and there is also the digital part of coaching.
“So football has different dimensions of evolution. A coach must be in touch with the reality as new knowledge keep enfolding in the game.
“I hope to have a very fruitful experience at the end of this advance coaching course,” he said.
