Blistering Osimhen scores as Napoli beat Sampdoria

Super Eagles striker and SC Napoli of Italy hitmam was in another blistering form, scoring a goal and helping his side to win a penalty in a 2-0 defeat of Sampdoria at away, www.totorinews.com reports.

It was a Seria A game and Napoli showed strong intent to win the maximum points from the blast of the whistle which led to the referee awarding a penalty to the league leaders, but was wasted by Mateo Politano in the 6th minute.

Osimhen then gave Napoli the lead after  19th minutes as he connected Maria Rui’s cross inside the box and sent it in, scoring  his 10th goal in Serie A of the  season.

Sampdoria’s woes was further compounded when Tomas Rincon was shown a red card for a reckless tackle on Osimhen in the 39th minute.

It became a complete dominance by Napoli from then on, though the first did not record another goal.

Napoli took the game beyond the reach of Sampdoria when Elmas converted from the spot eight minutes before stoppage time after a Sampdoria player handball inside the box.

As it stands now, Napoli are top of the table with 44 points after 17 games, seven points clear of Juventus and eight points ahead of Milan, who tackles Roma later on Sunday.
