The Senator representing Anambra south senatorial district, Chief Patrick Ifeanyi Uba has promised to do only one term if elected in next year’s Anambra state governorship poll, reports www.totorinews.com.
It will be recalled that Senator Ubah recently, defected to the All Progressive Congress, APC, from the Young Progressive Party, YPP and has indicated an interest in challenging the incumbent governor, Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo.
Addressing the media in Nnewi on Tuesday, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah vowed to do a single term in office to complete the turn of the Anambra South senatorial district in the Spirit of the existing zoning agreement in the state.
“I wish to make this sincere vow to the good people of Anambra state, that despite my coming from the Anambra South senatorial district , same as governor Charles Soludo, that i, Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah will do a single four years tenure in office if i am elected as the next executive governor of our Anambra state,” Senator Ubah said.
“I dont believe it is justified to deny me my deserved support from Ndi Anambra based on the spirit of the existing political zoning agreement in the state,” he insisted.
The incumbent governor of Anambra state, Prof Soludo is from Anambra South senatorial district, same as Senator Ifeanyi Ubah and he is already preparing for a re- election as Governor of Anambra State on the platform of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA).
