Former Celtic of Scotland defender, Efe Ambrose is very optimistic that playing in the Championship in England with Derby Country will help him to bounce back to reckoning in the Super Eagles, www.totorinews.com reports exclusively.
Frank Lampard, the manager of Derby County had already informed the that the Nigeria International showed great qualities in training with the team and hopefully, he will be a wonderful addition in their quest to earn promotion ticket to the premiership.
Ambrose, however disclosed to www.totorinews.com that the strong teams in the Championship is a fact that the league is a very difficult one to play, which will definitely improve his game and possibly earn him a recall to the national team after missing out from nest of the Eagles for some years now.
“Playing in England in the Championship with Derby County under Frank Lampard will definitely improve my game and mine is to continue to work very hard for the team.” Ambrose said.
“I played in Scotland and I know that their style of football is the same with England. I am also aware that Championship is a very difficult league with strong teams, but i have a strong will and determination to make my stay count positively in Derby County,” he added.
“I also know that if I continue to work very hard in in training and every game for Derby County in the Championship can still create opportunity for me to be invited again to the Super Eagles. It is my wish and i pray it happens soon, but for now the focus is on working very hard and playing regularly in the Championship ,” he said.
