AITEO : Okumagba wants more corporate firms to support football

Chief Vincent Okumagba, the Chairman of the Super Eagles Suppprters Club, SESC, has charged more corporate firms to follow the footsteps of AITEO in supporting football, www.totorinews.com reports.

Speaking to the media after the Super Eagles played out a surprised 4- 4 draw with the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium in Benin on Friday evening, said that the entrance of AITEO into Nigeria football scene has contributed tremendously to the fortunes of the round leather game in the country.

“I wish more multi-national companies in telecommunications, oil and gas, information and communication technology, other corporate firms in Nigeria could emulate the good steps of AITEO in supporting the development of the game,” Okumagba said.

“Nigerians are very passionate about football and AITEO have been very magnificent with their corporate sponsorship of football with their partnership with the Nigeria Football Federation,” he added.

“Knowing what football represents in Nigeria and if more companies supports the game, the enormous benefits associated with football will not elude these companies at the long run.

“The population of Nigeria is a blessing in this regards and there is no part of the country that football is not a popular game and AITEO have done well in making their brand stronger with their entrance into football circle in Nigeria,” he said.
