AFCON U 20 : Flying Eagles will bounce back like Argentina, says Bosso

Action in the game between Senegal and Nigeria. It ended 1-0 against the Flying Eagles.

Ahead of of crucial second group game between the Flying Eagles of Nigeria and Junior Pharoahs of Egypt, Ladan Bosso, the chief coach of the team says his players are equal to the task of putting smiles on the faces of Nigerians, reports www.totorinews.com.

Bosso further said that the lapses noticed in the first game against Senegal which Nigeria lost 1-0 has been corrected and the technical crew have perfected tactical plans how to subdue Egypt before their own fans on Wednesday.

He admitted that judging by the adequate preparation given by the NFF to the team, there is no reason for the team not to be at their optimal best in the tournament.

“Looking at our preparations and the supportive side from the Federation particularly from the present board of the NFF headed by Alhaji Ibrahim Gasau, I think we have no reason not to give our best,” Bosso told www.thenff.com in Egypt.

“Nevertheless, we lost to Senegal, a match that we supposed to have won from the first half but God knows why. But then, we just have to check out what were the weak points and where the team did wrong, so we  make adjustments before the match against Egypt.

“We had to do our job as coaches to raise the spirit of the players after the loss to Senegal. Of course giving a reference point of what happened in Qatar 2022 World Cup where Saudi Arabia beat Argentina in the first match, but were eliminated, while Argentina got their act together, planned well and at the end of day ended up winning the World Cup.

“Losing the first match is not something that cannot be amended. it was even good that we lost at the beginning, instead of losing where we cannot be redeemed. We have time to adjust and we will adjust.

“We will focus on our tactics because we have an idea on how they should play. So we know how we can overcome Egypt.

“We seek the support of Nigerians, their prayers and by the special grace of God Flying Eagles will put smiles back on their faces,” he said.
