Israel Adesanya finally snapped his losing streak against Alex Pereira with a devastating second round knock out at UFC 287 in Miami.
The headliner was the fourth clash between the two combatants with Pereira winning the first three.
Adesanya obviously knew that a fourth defeat to the Brazilian would have definitely settled the superiority contest.
With this in mind, the Last Style Bender turned on the style by knocking out Pereira in round two with what commentators described as a ‘right hook from nowhere’.
Adesanya not only reclaimed his title but silenced skeptics and naysayers who gave him no chance against the Brazilian.
This definitely is not going to be the last match up between the duo, with their results now even in the UFC, fight fans can begin to lick their lips in anticipation of a winner takes all trilogy.
