Ahead of Premium Trust Bank International Half Marathon event billed for 20th of April, 2024, Luka Istifanus says Abuja is glad to offer world class hosting of the event.
The marathon event is organised by Nilayo Sports Management Limited, a leading sports agency in Nigeria with track records of hosting world class marathon events like the Access Bank Marathon race in Lagos and others.

According to Istifanus, the Director of Sports in FCTA, the city will showcase her rich hospitality and culture to visitors, participants and every stakeholder in marathon that will grace the half marathon event, adding that th3 main purpose is to make the event the best.
“Our involvement in the Premium Trust Bank International Half Marathon is to ensure that it comes out to be the best. We are glad that Abuja is hosting the event and approval has been given by the government,” Istifanus told www.totorinews.com in Abuja.
“Without giving them an approval they wouldn’t have come out to say they are coming to organise a marathon in Abuja so the first thing is the facilities which FCT have approved for them to use.
“The second thing is that FCT has approved the name of Abuja to be used for the marathon , I don’t think if they need any support that is more than those two important factors that has been approved by the FCT for them.
“Our MOU has already been endorsed that is to tell you that FCT has given them all the necessary support that they required to have this marathon here in Abuja .
Every event that a Director is involved ; his involvement is to make that event to be best.
“We are aiming to make FCT a sporting arena so with this kind of programmes, we are giving the youths of FCT awareness that is outside football, outside handball ,outside table tennis, volleyball, baskeball etc.
“We want Abuja youth to know that there is a sport called marathon which is empowering youths also.
“So, FCT Abuja will provide all the needed support to ensure that the organisation of Premium Trust Bank Abuja Half Marathan is hitch free to the delight of everyone that is involved,” he said.
